The Mobility 21 Executive Director, Jenny Galaviz, and the Communications Manager, Kristin Slocum, handle Mobility 21’s day-to-day operations.
Mobility 21 staff works closely with the staff of our partner organizations to address issues from a policy standpoint before bringing these to the Board of Directors for a decision. When Mobility 21 takes a position on an issue, full consensus has been reached by the partnering organizations, representing 21 million residents in Southern California.
Jenny Galaviz brings 25 years of experience with focused expertise in the transportation industry. She has demonstrated operations, government affairs, business development, and communications experience working with both public and private sector partners. She has also held leadership positions with the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), including Past President of the Orange County Chapter.
Jenny brings a strong background from the project delivery side of the consulting industry encompassing many modes of transportation, including highway, transit, rail, and maritime. She has made significant contributions to our industry through her volunteer efforts, raising record amounts for student scholarships for female high school, undergraduate and graduate students through her leadership at WTS.
Appointed in 2014, Jenny has served as Executive Director of Mobility 21 supporting the thirteen-member, public and private sector Board of Directors and over 10,000 members at large. She helps lead our seven-county coalition (Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura counties) to advance Mobility 21’s mission to increase transportation funding to Southern California, promote regional transportation solutions, and improve mobility throughout our region.
